Disposable waffles will kick off the WWDC 2017 Global Development Conference from June 5 and end on June 9 in San Jose, California. As every year CEO Tim Cook will be speaking at 1 pm (12 pm Vietnam time, tonight) talking about the company's upcoming plans. Traditionally, WWDC has focused primarily on software, especially iOS and macOS. (Recently watchOS and tvOS are also paying attention.)But this year, we've heard rumors of some of the hardware expected to appear at the McEnery Conference Center stage. What is the technology world waiting for from WWDC 2017?
Software becomes the focus
Almost certainly, Apple will announce the next version of iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. The company's four largest platforms are updated yearly with a demo in June for developers to receive previews for the fall release. This year is no exception, but what do we know about the latest from Apple's operating system?
IOS design update: Bloomberg revealed last month that iOS 11 will feature a new user interface, but does not specify the details. High-end, Apple preferred to display "dark" color mode for the operating system instead of the bright white background as today.
This change has created the sophistication of the interface, and support for the iPhone OLED screen is expected to launch in September. The dark mode saves power just like the Apple Watch.Additional stylus support: Bloomberg also said that Apple will update the iPad features focused on Pencil. Accordingly, users can interact more easily on the Mail and Safari applications with pen to annotate, even equipped with similar features Samsung S Pen.
Features of the iPad Pro: Apple brings many improvements to increase multitasking on the iPad Pro, which is notable for its drag-and-drop capabilities. About technology also hopes the company will support multi-user mode.
A lot of application updates: From last year to now, the biggest theme that Apple is targeting is the application upgrade. Some major changes on iOS have been made in iMessage and Photos. Certainly the company does not want to stop there, but wants to bring a new experience to the user.Online Payments: A recent report in Recode says that Apple is considering offering a peer-to-peer payment service to compete with Venmo and Square Cash. However, it is unclear whether this feature is available from Apple Pay or its own platform built into iMessage (or both).
What's worth seeing in Apple Music: Apple seems to be very tight-lipped on the plans being made. Beats Audio co-founder Jimmy Iovine, however, is unlikely to disclose to Bloomberg that Apple Music will be refreshed this year for a better video experience.
Siri smarter: Siri virtual assistant has received many improvements over the past few years. If you want to compete with Amazon Echo and Google Home, the missing apple needs to create the same product, and also support the integration of third-party applications into Siri better. Apple seems to start making big changes this year.
Small change on macOS: Apple has not brought anything new to macOS over the years except changing the name. However, it will definitely continue to improve the platform and launch some new features.Improved watchOS and tvOS: Two operating systems are still "old" but have received useful and frequent changes. Nothing shows that Apple will make a surprise on watchOS and tvOS in addition to trying to update the basics. WatchOS still needs to change the way the app is displayed, while the awkward apple is working to refine the traditional guideline style on tvOS.
In an interview with The Verge in February, Apple TV director Eddy Cue suggested that the future of live television would be more interactive. Therefore, the change on the operating system is necessary to help developers create more multi-interactive applications.
Hope some hardware will come out
Apple is taking many events to introduce its hardware products, with no except WWDC. We hope this year's event will become the stage for the company to release new names.Siri: It is possible that Apple will return Amazon Echo and Google Home with a brand new name at the MWC 2017 opening. All information about Siri installed speakers is still in the secret. Technicians do not even know how the shape of the little thing, whether the display or not.
With such a loudspeaker, we are overwhelmed by the expectation of major updates from Siri this year. Apple will probably apply the model as it did on the watch OS, where developers are allowed to build Siri functionality in their applications.
